About Tamad
The Drug Raw Materials Production Company (Tamad) is a member of the TPICO pharmaceutical group, part of the large Shasta economic family. Since 1996, Tamad has proudly served as the first and largest producer of narcotic and non-narcotic pharmaceutical raw materials in Iran. The company actively contributes to the pharmaceutical industry in two main categories: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and semi-finished products, such as pellets and Direct Compression (DC). In 2017, Tamad expanded its operations to include the production of finished pharmaceutical products, with a strong focus on export markets.
Currently, Tamad operates 20 active production lines, manufacturing over 120 pharmaceutical products. These products are produced in compliance with GMP standards and WHO guidelines and are monitored and evaluated based on the latest international standards. The company supplies approximately 20% of the pharmaceutical raw materials required in Iran, exports 26 products to 56 countries across five continents, and was honored as the sole National Premium Exporter in Iran’s pharmaceutical industry in 2020.
Tamad, as a knowledge-based company with a forward-thinking approach, employs 600 skilled, committed, and responsible personnel. Its scientific team includes chemists, chemical engineers, pharmaceutical experts, and professionals from other engineering and fundamental science fields, all dedicated to innovation as a core principle.
